Chiho Minami

Studied classical piano from childhood to high school. After becoming a member of the Japanese drum team and spending 15 years playing Japanese drums, I became interested in the formation of sound, the magical power that sound brings, the wonders, the effects, and music. Studied music theory, recording and composition at the Film School of Tokyo. At the same time, he was so impressed by the music of Astro Piazzolla, the master of tango, that he picked up a bandoneon and spent his time studying on his own.  Since 2013, he has presided over “Planet Porcini”. Keigo Iwami (contrabass) and Yasuyoshi Ogino (guitar) are invited as members to challenge free jazz. He has been greatly influenced by the activities of Japanese musicians such as Toru Saito and Satoko Fujii, and is currently planning and working mainly on improvisational music. Currently based at Gallery & Cafe Yamanekoken in Ogose-cho, Saitama Prefecture, he is entering a period of transition in his musical outlook, starting with semi-self-sufficiency in the mountains.

Masao Tajima

Born in Kawasaki City, Kanagawa Prefecture. Picked up the double bass at the age of 16. The breadth of his performance, his humorous view of the world, and the variety of tones produced by gut strings are noteworthy. He also puts a lot of effort into composing, and is characterized by a style that makes you feel colors, scenery, and smells. Currently, in addition to presiding over contrabass solos, his own units and sessions, he provides a wide range of support. In addition, he has deepened his involvement in fields other than music and theatrical fields, such as co-starring with Japanese music performers, artists, dancers, actors, storytellers, and puppeteers. Member of ISB (International Bassist Association). Author of "How to Make a Jazz Bass Line" (Chuo Art Publishing). In 2015, he released his own unit album "Harmony Forest". Miyama McQueen-Tokita

Australian-born koto player who performs improvisation, contemporary music and original compositions. Regardless of the boundaries of genres, he aims to create music with the koto that modern people find interesting and want to listen to. In addition to his solo performances, he has also collaborated in various forms, and has earned a reputation for his natural and rich expressions. In recent years, in addition to co-starring with artists from all over the world, the number of invited performances at overseas festivals has increased. Co-starring groups include the Vancouver Intercultural Orchestra, the Australian Art Orchestra, and the Japan Philharmonic Orchestra. In addition, in collaboration with new generation composers, we will move forward to create unprecedented koto music. In 2019, he stayed in New York for half a year as a grantee of ACC, and was involved in contemporary music and improvisation. In 2020, he will release a solo album "SONOBE" containing works by European, American, Australian and Japanese composers. Studied under Satsuki Odamura and Kazue Sawai.
